iTunes backup + organized file export
How It Works
When an iPhone fails, the only way to recover your data is to get the phone to power on again, enter the passcode, and create a manual backup. The data is encrypted by the original CPU, so it cannot be recovered directly from the storage. Once we get the phone to power on, we create an iTunes backup. This backup can be used to restore another iPhone.
Important: Restoring the backup to a new iPhone will erase everything currently on that phone, replacing it with an exact copy of your old phone's data.

How It Works
When an Android phone released with Android 7.0 or later fails, the only way to recover your data is to get the phone to power on again, enter the passcode, and create a manual backup. The data is encrypted by the original CPU, so it cannot be recovered directly from the storage. Once the phone powers on, we create a Smart Switch backup. This backup can be used to transfer data to a new Android device.
Good news: During the transfer, the old data will merge with the existing data on your new phone - nothing on the new phone will be deleted.
Finding Your Photos & Videos
Pictures and videos are located in the DCIM folder within the Smart Switch backup. If you only need photos and videos, let us know and we'll extract them for you.

How You'll Receive Your Data
Once recovery is complete, your recovered files are returned on a new external hard drive or flash drive, depending on the amount of data recovered. Simply plug it in to access your files.
File Organization
Whenever possible, recovered files are returned in their original folder structure, exactly as they appeared on your device before it failed.

The "Problem!" Folder
Along with your recovered data, you may see a folder labeled "Problem!". This folder contains files that were affected by damaged or unreadable areas on the original device. These files may be incomplete or corrupted. Some may not open due to the original damage. They're included so you can review any data that may still be partially usable.

RAW Data Recovery
In cases where the file system is too severely damaged to rebuild the original folder structure, recovered data may be delivered in RAW format. RAW data means files are grouped by file type (JPG, PNG, DOC, PDF, MP4, etc.) rather than original folders. File names and directory structure may not be available.
In some situations, we provide both a reconstructed file system copy and a RAW copy. This ensures you get organized data where possible, plus maximum file recovery from heavily damaged areas.
